Floating Cork Plank Floors


Cork floors sold by Interiors Only, to the original residential user, are warranted by the manufacturer to be free of defects in material and manufacture. Pre-finished or ready to urethane cork floors are warranted for a period of five (5) years against wear, provided that the finish is maintained according to maintenance instructions. Interiors Only and the manufacturer shall not be liable under the foregoing warranty if any loss or damage is caused by improper installation or use of the goods, or if the goods are not applied or used according to the manufacturers current published literature, copies of which are available on request. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to inspect all flooring and components and notify Interiors Only of any defects prior to installation.  

The manufacturer's liability is expressly limited to replacement (in the form originally shipped) of goods not complying with the agreement, or at the manufacturer's selection, the repayment of, or crediting the buyer with an amount equal to the purchase price of such goods, whether such claims are for breach of warranty or negligence.


Not Covered by Warranty for: Glue-down tiles and Floating Cork Plank Floors

  1. Any incidental or consequential losses, damages for expenses, directly or indirectly arising from the sale, handling or use of the goods, or from any other cause relating hereto are excluded under this warranty.
  2. Labor for merchandise that has been installed with obvious visual defects. Inspect all floor tiles and floor products before installation
  3. Installation of product over non-recommended sub-floor patches, underlayment or sub-floor conditions. Examples of improper sub-floor conditions are installations over plaster (calcium sulphate-type) floor patch used on or below grade, over wet suspended concrete floors, or over gypsum- based underlayment. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations when testing an underlayment for dryness before installing a cork floor product.
  4. Installation of flooring where it will be exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold, moisture or dryness. Adhesive failure, which can result from a wide variety of conditions, such as excessive moisture from an insufficient vapor barrier, is not covered under this warranty.
  5. Damage caused by continued exposure to direct sunlight. Damage caused by use of floor care products not recommended by the manufacturer. Damage caused by spike-heeled shoes, cleats and other sharp objects and wear caused by sand and other abrasives. Damage from furniture feet, appliances and other fixtures. Damage to the flooring due to sharp and pointed objects, heat, water, burns, accidents, misuse or abuse.
  6. Failure due to the use of adhesives and finishes not recommended by the manufacturer.
  7. Differences in colour between samples, photographs and actual flooring.
